Online, nationwide
Same teacher, same attention, zero commute
Live one-on-one video lessons from Erik's studio to your living room. Erik has taught online students across the country, from total beginners to advanced players.
Songs first
You'll play real music from the first lessons — technique and theory are taught through songs you actually want to play.
Ear training
Learn to hear what's happening in music — intervals, chords, and melodies — so you can play what you hear.
Theory & reading
Sight reading, harmony, and music theory, taught practically and only as fast as it helps your playing.
Frequently asked
I've never touched a guitar. Is that okay?
Absolutely — total beginners are Erik's favorite starting point, because nothing has to be untaught. He'll help you pick a first guitar before you spend a dime if you don't own one yet.
What ages do you teach?
All ages — from kids to retirees. Over the decades Erik has taught many kids that started with him in elementary school and took lessons all the way through college, and adult students that started from scratch in their 70's and 80's.
How do online lessons work?
Over live video from Erik's studio — all you need is a phone, tablet, or laptop and your guitar. Erik has taught online students across the country for years, including kids who started with zero experience.
What if I have to miss a week?
Life happens. With reasonable notice Erik will work with you to reschedule. Lessons are month-to-month — no contracts and no registration fees.
Electric or acoustic?
Either — Erik teaches both, and many students move between the two. Bring whatever inspires you to play.
